Music that is made with love and stands for love is exactly what Sapling encompasses. Sapling is the inaugural album released by local San Diego band, Trans-Conduit. It is some of the most real music you have ever heard.
Trans-Conduit is made-up of all-star musicians from nationally touring bands like Slightly Stoopid, to the Parliament Funkadelic.
There are many definitions of how to express and show love, this album was written about just that. The album title, Sapling, encompasses how love is also about growth both personal and literal. The first track on the album is called "Back to Future Farming", which highlights the meaning of our responsibility as a generation to provide for ourselves, and recognize that the growth of our community may need to be strengthened in ways our previous generations had understood.
The album features original compositions by the musicians in the band and myself, singer/song writer, Kevin Mankins. I play the computer as my main instrument. Trans-Conduit’s music is a blend of tribal, electronic, funk, rock, reggae, gospel and rhythm and blues.
We made this music because in the current time, music is the only organic technology that can seed our culture. Many musicians watered that seed with love which produced this album.
